Movies for Week 45: Brazil

Several international productions have chosen Brazil as the location to set or to shoot the movie they were making because of the landmarks, the weather, or the culture (carnival).

Some examples are:

Fitzcarraldo (1982)

Moonraker (1979)

Some Brazilian productions gained international fame, not only for their cinematography and the performance of the actors, but also because they show the themes that at times tear Brazilian society apart.
One of the best known is:

Elite Squad (2007)
